“HUGUAN SIOU” is the highest TITLE in the hierarchy of the Order of the Kadazandusuns. “HUGUAN SIOU” is awarded only to a Kadazandusun around the world. This Order of Honor is awarded to a Kadazandusun who has fulfilled or is close to fulfilling and has equaled or is close to having matched the specific characteristics of “HUGUAN SIOU
The selection of candidates for the award of “HUGUAN SIOU” (HS) is conducted by a Special Committee comprising those who are knowledgeable and in-depth about the customs and culture of the Kadazandusuns. In choosing the café of the “HUGUAN SIOU” Award, the views and advice of the Bohungkitas, Tantagas, Talangkai, Welcome and Ethnic Chiefs under the auspices of KCA or KDCA are taken into account.
